Job Title: Software Admin (Software Administrator) Department: Information Technology Reports To: IT Manager / General Manager Job Summary The Software Admin is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting software applications used throughout the company. This role ensures that all software systems operate efficiently, remain secure, and are updated in line with company and regulatory requirements. The Software Admin provides technical support to users, coordinates with vendors, and assists in implementing new software solutions to support certification operations and business processes. Key Authorities • Install, configure, and update software as authorized. • Manage software user accounts, permissions, and access rights. • Recommend software improvements and participate in vendor selection. • Coordinate with IT and other departments for software-related needs. Key Responsibilities • Install, configure, and maintain business software applications, including certification and audit management systems, email, office suites, and specialized tools. • Monitor software performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation. • Manage user access, roles, and permissions in accordance with company policies. • Coordinate with software vendors for support, updates, and licensing compliance. • Provide technical support and training to end users on software applications. • Maintain accurate records of software licenses, installations, and configurations. • Ensure all software is updated with the latest security patches and releases. • Assist in evaluating and implementing new software solutions as required. • Participate in internal and external audits relating to software systems and information security. • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant standards (e.g., ISO 27001:2022). Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. • Minimum 3 years of experience in software administration, IT support, or a related role. • Strong knowledge of software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. • Familiarity with user management, licensing, and software security best practices. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Good communication and training abilities. • Proficiency in MS Office, business software, and database management.
