Job Title: Certification Manager

Job Summary
The Certification Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the certification process for clients according to international standards including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 22000:2018, ISO 27001:2022, and ISO 20000-1. The role ensures all certification activities are conducted in compliance with applicable accreditation requirements, maintaining impartiality, confidentiality, and the highest standards of professionalism.
Key Authorities
• Approve audit plans and auditor assignments for certification projects.
• Make final decisions on certification, recertification, suspension, or withdrawal.
• Communicate with accreditation bodies and clients regarding certification matters.
• Authorize issuance of certificates and audit reports.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and supervise the certification process for all assigned standards.
• Ensure compliance with all accreditation and regulatory requirements.
• Schedule and assign auditors, review audit reports, and make certification decisions.
• Develop and maintain certification procedures and documentation.
• Handle client inquiries, complaints, and appeals related to certification.
• Conduct periodic reviews and internal audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Provide training and support to auditors and certification staff.
• Represent the company in external audits and accreditation assessments.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Additional certifications related to management systems (e.g., Lead Auditor for relevant ISO standards) are highly desirable.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in management systems certification, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proven experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22000, ISO 27001, and ISO 20000-1 certification processes.
• Strong knowledge of management system standards and certification schemes.

Work Environment
Work is primarily office-based, with occasional site visits to client locations for audits, meetings, or assessments. Some travel may be required. The role involves use of computers and standard office equipment. Physical demands are minimal.

I agree to take good care of any equipment or documents that may from time to time be within my custody or control during the course of my engagement and shall not, except in the proper course of my duties, show or disclose or communicate the construction thereof to anyone who is not a GCB officer/staff member.
Upon termination of my engagement for whatever reason and at any other time at GCB’s request I shall, without retaining any copies or records thereof, immediately return all such equipment and/or documents or extracts of such documents and all other notes, memoranda, photographs, drawings, records, or other material made or procured to be made by me or issued to me during my engagement relating to the business of GCB or any of its clients.
